Welcome to Play Hideaway. By using our website, booking our services, or entering our facility, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service, along with our Privacy Policy and all applicable venue policies.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Play Hideaway’s website, booking services, or attending an event at our facility, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
Play Hideaway may update these terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page, and the “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent revision.
2. Services Provided
Play Hideaway offers, including but not limited to:
Drop-in play
Children’s classes and programs
Private event and birthday party rentals
Memberships and passes
Space rentals
Each service is subject to its own policies, including booking requirements, deposits, cancellations, and conduct rules.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to enter into a booking agreement.
Children may use the space only under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
4. Booking, Deposits & Payments
Booking Deposit
A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure event bookings. Events are not confirmed until this deposit is received.
Security Deposit
A $125 refundable security deposit is required for all private event bookings.
The security deposit may be used to cover, including but not limited to:
Unauthorized animals
Additional cleaning
Damaged, missing, or stolen items
Alcohol-related cleanup
Extra time used beyond the booked period
If no violations occur, the security deposit will be refunded within 24 hours following post-event inspection.
Payment Terms
Remaining balances must be paid according to the terms provided at booking. Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation and forfeiture of deposits.
Prices are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings will not be affected by subsequent pricing changes.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Refund terms vary by service and will be outlined at the time of booking.
Drop-in play and passes are final sale unless otherwise stated.
Class cancellations must follow the specific program policy.
Event cancellations are subject to deposit terms outlined above.
6. Code of Conduct
All guests must behave respectfully and responsibly.
Play Hideaway is a family-friendly environment. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour may result in removal from the premises without refund.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children at all times.
Unauthorized photography or filming of other guests is not permitted.
7. Animal Policy
No animals are permitted in the space, except pre-approved service animals in accordance with applicable laws.
If unauthorized animals are brought into the facility, the event may be terminated immediately without refund, and the security deposit may be forfeited.
8. Alcohol Policy
Alcohol is only permitted with a valid LCBO Special Occasion Permit (SOP) obtained by the client prior to the event.
The client is fully responsible for compliance with all applicable laws.
Play Hideaway does not remove alcohol waste. Any alcohol-related cleanup may be deducted from the security deposit.
9. Security Cameras
For safety, operational, and security purposes, Play Hideaway uses security cameras in common areas.
Footage may be reviewed for:
Booking time verification
Property damage or missing items
Safety incidents
Policy compliance
Deposit-related matters
Footage is used solely for internal operational purposes unless required by law.
10. Assumption of Risk & Liability
By entering Play Hideaway’s premises, you acknowledge that participation in play activities involves inherent risks.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with use of the facility.
Play Hideaway is not liable for injuries, accidents, or loss of personal property, except in cases of gross negligence.
11. Right to Refuse Service / Termination
Play Hideaway reserves the right to refuse service or terminate any event immediately, without refund, if guests:
Violate venue policies
Engage in unsafe or disrespectful behaviour
Disregard staff instructions
Violate alcohol or animal policies
Damage property
Create a safety risk
In such cases, deposits may be withheld.
12. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, logos, images, and materials are the property of Play Hideaway and may not be used without written permission.
13. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect and protect personal information.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
15. Changes to Terms
Play Hideaway may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
