Programs for children who are ready to find their people.
Small, intentional groups facilitated by Ivi Lindau, Registered Social Worker. RSW receipts provided — may be covered by your extended health benefits.
Play Hideaway is more than a play space. It's a community — and these programs are the heart of it. Every group we run is intentionally small, carefully designed, and facilitated by Ivi Lindau, a Registered Social Worker with 20 years of experience working with children and families. We believe play is one of the most powerful therapeutic tools we have, and that every child deserves a space built for the way their brain works. Whether your child is neurodivergent, sensitive, still finding their people, or simply ready for something different — there's a place for them here.
Brick by Brick
〰️
Brick by Brick 〰️
Brick by Brick: A Lego-based social skills group for neurodivergent children aged 6–12.
Some children learn social skills best not through instruction — but through doing. Brick by Brick uses collaborative Lego building challenges as a therapeutic medium to help neurodivergent children practise the skills that matter most in real life.
Each session, children take on roles — Engineer, Supplier, Builder — and work together toward a shared goal. The roles rotate. The challenges change. But every week, the same skills are being practised:
Taking turns and sharing materials
Asking for help and offering it
Managing frustration when things don't go to plan
Celebrating someone else's idea
Being part of a team
It's play. But it's also real, meaningful work — and children rarely notice the difference.
Facilitated by Ivi Lindau, RSW, MSW, BCYC in a calm, small-group environment where every child belongs exactly as they are.
Brick by Brick is designed for children aged 6–12 who are neurodivergent — including autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and learning differences — or who struggle with social connection, communication, or frustration tolerance.
No diagnosis is required to participate. If you're wondering whether this group might be right for your child, reach out — we're happy to talk it through.

MySpace
〰️
MySpace 〰️
MySpace: A therapeutic group for tweens aged 8–12 exploring identity, belonging, and what it means to find your people.
Being 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 is its own kind of complicated. Not quite little. Not quite a teenager. Figuring out who you are, where you fit, and why some days feel harder than they should.
MySpace is a small, safe group for tweens who are in the middle of all of that — and who deserve a place to work through it with people who actually get it. Each session combines creative activities and guided group discussion around themes that matter at this age:
Week 1 · Who am I? — exploring identity
Week 2 · What do I need? — understanding emotions and asking for support
Week 3 · Where do I belong? — community, friendship, and connection
Week 4 · This is me — celebrating each child's unique strengths
There are no right answers. No performances. No pressure. Just a low-key, judgement-free space that belongs to the group — and to every child in it. Facilitated by Ivi Lindau, RSW, MSW, BCYC.
MySpace is for tweens aged 8–12 who feel a little different, struggle with social confidence, are navigating big feelings about who they are, or simply haven't found their people yet.
No referral or diagnosis required — just a child who is ready for a space of their own.

These programs may be covered by your extended health benefits.
Because Ivi Lindau is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, both Brick by Brick and My Space qualify as social work services.
Many Ontario extended health benefit plans cover $500–2,000 per year in social work support. You pay upfront and we provide a proper RSW receipt with our registration number after each session — or as a single receipt for the full series. You submit it to your insurer and get reimbursed.
Not sure if your plan covers RSW services? Call the number on the back of your benefits card and ask: "Does my plan cover Registered Social Worker services?" Most plans will tell you immediately.
Don't let cost be the reason your child misses out. If you have questions about the insurance process, reach out — we're happy to help you figure it out.

-
No. Both programs are open to any child who would benefit. A diagnosis is never required to participate.
-
Initial reluctance is completely normal — and it doesn't mean the group isn't right for your child. We always start gently, and we'll keep you informed about how your child is settling in.
-
Brick by Brick and MySpace has a maximum of 8. The small size is intentional — it means every child gets the attention and space they need.
-
Yes — if your children fall within the age ranges of the same program, they can attend together. Sibling dynamics in a group setting are always something we discuss in the intake process.
-
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the first session receive a full credit toward a future program. Cancellations within 24 hours of Session 1, or once the series has begun, are final sale.
-
Receipts are issued through Jane App after each session — or as a single receipt for the full series at the end of June. Your receipt will include all required information for insurer submission: dates of service, service description, rate, and RSW registration number.
